Cupboard Well Stocked, 1999
Resin, text on mylar, hung from wire, and sound
Dimensions variable

For this piece I used more than 80 jars as molds for resin. Inside each jar can be found a question, from philosophical: "Can the understanding of any system prepare me for existence?" to quotidian: "Where are the carrots?", from romantic: "Baby, baby, where did our love go?" to silly: "How important to you was that lemon meringue pie?" The jars are arranged in a spiral, like a galaxy, into which viewers can walk. The installation also includes a recording of glass breaking or "the sound of its own making."
